Geneva motor show is ready to open its doors for the first big European auto show so far this year. Fiat-Chrysler gets ready to show some interesting products that will concentrate the attention of mass media for sure. However there will be only two premiere, coming from Alfa Romeo and Ferrari exhibitions. As it happened in the last two years, Geneva 2013 will take place during a very bad period for auto industry in Europe. Thus, the wonderful presentations won’t be a common thing to see next week when it opens its doors from 7-17 March. Fiat-Chrysler will finally present the new Alfa Romeo 4C, to be the first global model of the brand. The other big event will come from Ferrari that will show its top vehicle, to be the successor of the Enzo. Then Maserati will have the new Quattroporte, already presented to the press some months ago. Fiat will introduce the 500L Trekking as some new versions of the small 500/Abarth. Lancia will not have anything new but Momo versions of the Ypsilon and Delta will come on scene. Finally, Jeep will show the updated Grand Cherokee and 2013 model year of the Compass. At the end the only all-new model will be the Ferrari, as the 4C is almost the same car saw 2 years ago as a concept, while the Quattroporte was already presented. The lack of new products is mainly explained by current European auto industry crisis, which is supposed to last at least for 1 more year.

The new Alfa Romeo 4C is more or less the same concept car presented in Geneva 2011. Notice that front wheels are smaller than rear ones.

The Fiat 500L Trekking should boost 500L sales as it is half of the way between a small MPV and SUV. For a real SUV, Fiat must wait till the 500X is presented, maybe in Frankfurt 2013?

The fantastic Maserati Quattroporte will be also another attraction in Fiat-Chrysler stands. The Ghibli should arrive in April in Shanghai Motor Show

Geneva 2013 will be the place for official launch of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee MY 2013. 8-speed gear box is one of the latest features.
