Alfa 4C’s price to be lower than expected

Everything is ready for the official presentation of the Alfa Romeo 4C. At the press conference, that will take place in Balocco, Italy, the brand will officially launch the 4C, to be first available in Italian dealerships and soon in all Europe. So many information have been written about the compact super car, and Alfa itself points at this product as its first step into a global car brand. What has been unclear till now is its price. During Geneva 2013, they said the Launch Edition (500 units) would cost around 60.000 euros. Nonetheless nothing was clear about the standard version. Some people said it would be priced at 58.000 euros at least, but it all seems that this awesome Alfa will be available starting at a lower price. The brand wants to hit the market of the compact sporty cars, and that’s why the entry version of the 4C would start at 53.000 euros circa, and of course it includes all the technologic and efficient features that makes of it one of the lightest production cars. Based on that possible price, the 4C would be positioned between two strong players: the Audi TT S and the Porsche Cayman 2.7. It means that the Italian brand wants to directly compete with the big Germans, no matter Alfa’s low awareness. Clearly speaking the 4C is much more efficient than its rivals from Germany. It is expected to be priced at the same level of the Cayman, even though it has less horsepower.
