Today our blog, which I called Fiat Group’s World, turns 1-year-old. It began on the first of May of 2012, following the advice of a friend, so I decided to register in WordPress. Then it all happened so quickly. I started to write all what I had in mind before, reading at the news and making my own analysis. I just love to do it and share all my opinions, analysis and thinkings with people who share the same passion. This has led me to keep writing no matter the few time I have as I’m also studying and now working. I think the group deserves a deeper discussion when it’s about its present and future, and that’s why I’m here.

My first post talked about the success of the Fiat 500 in USA. The picture was taken by me in Geneva Motor Show 2012
After one year the success is evident. Though I personally hate to boast, I must say that my idea has worked: almost 170.000 visits, half of them in 2013. According to some people involved in web activities, that’s a great result considering the fact that Fiat Group’s World is a very specialized blog and it has no official advertising. However I think it could become even more popular if I wrote more often. But all of this wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t because of the many visitors the website has everyday. They don’t only read the articles (203 so far), but some of them are active commentators. Some of them have helped me with information/data that I really appreciated. I want to thank you all for letting me express my opinion and have your valuable contribution. Opinions and critics are always welcome in order to always improve. I leave you some statistics about what happened in this first year.

The site became more popular during this year as visits equaled the total of last year in only 4 months. The best is still to come.

People from all over the world visited my site in the last year. One visit coming from Macao, Kyrgyzstan, Congo, Senegal, Andorra, Cape Verde, Barbados, Honduras, Swaziland, Greenland, Guernsey, Cambodia, Bahamas, French Polynesia, Haiti, Papua New Guinea, Saint Vincent and the Granadines
Many many thanks to Tom Haapanen, Dario Lusso, ‘DeWitte’, Ardit Kapexhiu, ‘argt21’, and ‘Autoitalian’ for their continuous comments that enrich the discussion. I want to thank also Vitaly Plochotnikow, Paolo from Carsitaly.net, Leonardo Zanella, Daniel Mahlknecht,  Shrawan Raja, Carlo Levizzani, Geoffrey Reese, Domenico Di Cintio, Rick Steadman, Gilberto Cedolia, Enrico Faraone, Stefano Furlan, Ronaldo Maistrello, and many others that have contributed with their knowledge and passion to this site.

Congratulations, and let’s hope you continue to feel motivated to write about the Fiat Group. Because what happens in the Fiat universe might be frustrating or it might be promising, but it’s never boring ;). And it’s great to have someone keeping track of it all.

You’re completely right. Whatever happens to the group may be frustrating or promising, but NEVER boring. Though I’m more pesimistic in my personality, in this case I’m quite optimistic about the future of Fiat. Keep reading and thanks for your message
